An original Norman residence hidden amongst the honeycombed streets of Mdina, Malta's medieval capital, the restaurant evokes natural charm and character. Dine in truly romantic surroundings beneath the flowering oleander

of The Medina is reflected in the food and dining experience that we offer. The concept of the cuisine is Mediterranean "Cuisine Moderne" with selected regional classical dishes.


The Bacchus is set within the fortifications of Mdina, the Noble City of the Knights of Malta. It has been making history not only on account of its magnificent architecture, but also because of the huge possibilities offered by the building, which has been preserved since 1658. A blend of architecture ranging from the Roman to the Medieval combine to make The Bacchus a unique venue and can accommodate virtually any event. With the incredible flexibility that The Bacchus offers - function hall transformations occur as a matter of routine - satisfying every whim and desire of all special event organisers. Size, deco, arrangement and lighting issues have been successfully addressed to the satisfaction of the most demanding clients. The Bacchus as a Venue offers a 500m2 flexible and functional multi-purpose Hall right on top of the Mdina Bastions for larger events.


The Mediterranean Conference Centre (MCC) is undoubtedly firmly established as one of the most impressive conference centres in Europe. Constructed in the latter part of the 16th Century, the Centre boasts a total of ten halls and nine syndicate rooms over an area of 7,000 square metres. The halls vary in size and are therefore suitable for a range of events. The largest and most impressive, Republic Hall, seats 1,400 in theatre style whereas the smallest, La Cassiere, caters for 60 persons. Each meeting hall is equipped with its own independent sound, lighting and climate control. Conference facilities include permanent installations for simultaneous interpretation for up to six languages, ADSL, Wi-Fi as well as audio / visual equipment. The Centre can accommodate over 2,300 delegates in all the conference halls.


The Barracuda Restaurant welcomes you to dine in comfort and enjoyment, overlooking the enchanting bays of Balluta and Spinola. Diners are seated in what was once the drawing room of a prominent early 18th century residential villa, knowingly converted with flourish to retain its Maltese characteristic qualities. Since the opening in 1978, the restaurant has been honoured by renowned personalities including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Madonna, Russel Crowe, Brad Pitt, Claudia Schiffer, Sharon Stone, Eros Ramazzotti, Omar Sharif, Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Sterling Moss and many more...
